The Cat in the Hat guides the audience to the Jungle of Nool, where Horton discovers a speck of dust containing Whoville, a group of tiny people. Horton must protect the Whos from danger and ridicule, and also guard an abandoned egg left in his care by Mayzie La Bird. Horton faces many challenges, including kidnapping, a trial, and ridicule, but his loyal neighbor Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.
